The Miniature Schnauzer Club of NSW Inc, an affiliate of Dogs NSW, has over 100 members residing throughout Australia and in other continents. Membership of the MSCN is acquired through application to the club.
MSCN foundation members trace their involvement in our breed back over 40 years both nationally and internationally. The Miniature Schnauzer Club of NSW was founded to promote a wider knowledge and greater appreciation of the unique extraordinary qualities of the Miniature Schnauzer and to ensure the continued betterment of the breed. Specialty Shows, Pet Fun Days and other activities will be held throughout the year (see club calendar) and all Miniature Schnauzer owners are encouraged to take part in these activities and to support our breed by taking up MSCN membership.
MSCN member benefits also include a regular club newsletter, "Mini Minutes", in addition to future access to a forum designed to promote the health and general welfare of the breed.
The MSCN, is an official voice for Miniature Schnauzers in NSW and we work toward ensuring the betterment of our breed by seeking to maintain the Breed Standard, which is included on this web site. In addition our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) actively pursues projects concerning the health and general welfare of the breed.
The MSCN is the only specialty Miniature Schnauzer breed club in all of Australia and therefore one of the best sources for anyone new to the breed seeking anything from basic breed information right through to a comprehensive list of reputable breeders currently with litters of puppies.
MSCN breeders are not paid advertisers, they are club members with a deep love and regard for this wonderful breed and we ask that our members follow the guidelines set forth by Dogs NSW in addition to the ethics and guidelines the club asks it's members to consider when breeding. Beware unregistered backyard breeders who in addition to NOT being members of the only Miniature Schnauzer Specialty Club in Australia, are also NOT members of Dogs NSW, or interstate equivalent.
